Radar at Rest by ReuelDreamseer Radar at Rest by ReuelDreamseer
This is my newly adopted kitten, Radar, in one of her rare moments of inactivity. Somehow, she manages to maintain this level of cuteness 24/7, but I can't figure out how for the life of me. Not that I'm complaining... I get to witness her cuteness 24/7!

D'aaawwwww, kitty nappy! <3333333 SO CUTE! /)^3^(\

Might I say however, that when this showed up in my deviantWatch inbox, I was incredibly confused as to why a cat was swimming. Then I realised it was a bed. Or a couch. Or something. X'D

Haha, your original impression is much closer than you thought... that's my brother's waterbed she's sleeping on. XD

Goodness! What a silly kitty, don't you know you're supposed to avoid water? I remember when I had a waterbed once. Hmm... I need to get another waterbed and see how my cats react to it when they come visit me while I read. I wonder if they'll be adorably accepting of hte water as your pretty little Radar is!

Radar - what an exceptionally poignant name. Mind sharing the tale behind it here?

What an exceedingly cute kitten as well. So glad that you have been able to take this precious kitten into your home, Tim!

The story behind the name... well, when my Mom first brought her home a month ago, she and my siblings kept trying to find a name that fit her and nothing stuck. When I came home, I watched her running around, poking her tiny head and gigantic ears into every nook and cranny of the house, always eager to scout out something new, and the name "Radar" leaped to mind. It fit both her satellite-dish-sized ears and her inquisitive nature so perfectly that I couldn't picture her with any other name, so I stuck with that one. ^_^

I'm glad that I could give her a home, too. She's a constant source of cheer for everyone around, and even though I've only had her for two weeks I already can't imagine our family without her.
